Today is a definitive day

Well well well, where to even start. woke up this morning with a need to express & release (excuse the pun)…
For various reasons, we all have landmark days in our lives, defining days, that hold importance that will effect how we continue our mission.

Today is one of those days for us.

Late 07 early 08 we locked ourselves away in a rehearsal room and crafted songs that would become part of the body of work we are releasing today. April 08 we dive into the most full on recording session we have ever done, over a couple of weeks we poured our souls to tape, were joined by some of the finest musicians, string players, horn players, percussionists, beat masters, programmers, engineers, assistants, studio owners, friends & family, we laid down a large amount of sound!

We then embarked on a plan that would shift change and evolve, and we just hung on the best we could. We find ourselves in Jamaica surrounded by some amazing people, legends of our time in fact. In this moment we threw away our release plans and focused on creating a record that would be released when its ready. From there we travelled to many corners of the world and honed a sound that reflects who we are. where we come from, and where we want to go.

2 years of blood, sweat, tears, re recording, ditching tracks, writing new ones, experimentation, joy, love, hate, amazement, confusion, bliss, sleepless months days & years, devastation & realisation and we find our selves with a record we are very proud to have created and ready to release to the world.

We have completed a mission that we set out to achieve, and we thank you for your support, motivation & inspiration whether you work directly on our team, distributed our records, sold our records in your store, booked us on your festival, event, or in your venue, slaved with us over the mixing desk, laid down amazing parts on our songs, booked our gigs, promoted our band, sorted our logistics, plugged our music, placed stories, played our music on your station, come to a show, rocked out in the front row, chilled & listened up in the back row, done our live sound, our lights, sold us instruments, given us instruments, taken us on tour, toured with us, played in our band, guested in our band on stage or in the studio, built our websites, taken our photos, created a music video, volunteered your time and / or your artform for us & with us, slaved tirelessly to support the band, slaved tirelessly to support an honourable cause, worked with us in our activism efforts, fought the good fight, raised your fists, stood for what you believed in, accepted our donations, given us donations, wrote us an email, posted a message on our online social profiles, put us down, questioned our ethics, lifted us up, praised our morals, have had us teach at your community, your school, put up with our studio or rehearsal noise! given us a bed, given us a couch, a floor or even your whole house, shared a beverage, given us a meal, given us a helping hand, funded our projects, managed our mission, shared your knowledge, wisdom, expertise or time, been a loving family or been a great friend – you are part of who we have become and we thank you all very much.

Today we deliver our second album “WORLDWIZE Part 1 North & South”.

A double disk record that we hope makes it your way, makes you think, makes you smile, makes you dance, chill, act, react, evokes an idea, an emotion, any form of expression or inspiration.

Share it, spread the word, we hope you dig it.

much respect as always,
Blue King Brown.
